- Luìs' family has owned Herdade do Pigeiro since the early 19th century. The property originally belonged to Luìs Bulhão Martins' great-grandfather's aunt, Catarina. Over the years, Luìs' family, led by his grandfather, expanded their land holdings and developed the property into a thriving agricultural estate.
- In addition to being an experienced farmer, Luìs is an agricultural engineer. This background allows him to combine his deep understanding of the land with strong technical skills to continually improve agricultural operations.
- As head of the company, Luìs supervises, directs and integrates the work of over 80 employees, including 10 technical heads, each at the head of his own sector. One of these employees is his son Afonso.
