Located in Coussegrey, in France’s Aube region, Carrières de Coussegrey (SNCC) is a long-established limestone quarry supplying aggregates, gravel and sand to construction companies, concrete plants and private customers.
Founded in the post-war period to support the reconstruction of homes, the quarry today operates a fleet of machines dedicated to limestone extraction and processing.
Materials are transported by rigid dumpers, ensuring a reliable supply of aggregates for a wide range of applications. To maximise productivity and efficiency in demanding quarry conditions, the company relies on BKT EARTHMAX SR 47 and EARTHMAX SR 41 tyres. Operators value their traction, resistance to cuts and driving comfort, while management benefits from longer tyre life, reduced downtime and lower fuel consumption.
Committed to sustainability, Carrières de Coussegrey is investing in equipment that reduces fuel usage and also developing a maintenance facility equipped with photovoltaic panels.

Florent Lejay, Director of Carrières de Coussegrey, oversees a site that produces approximately 250,000 tonnes of aggregates every year.
With a strong focus on operational efficiency and reducing downtime, he chose to invest in BKT solutions for their durability, value for money and technical support, helping to strengthen a long-term partnership.
Julien De Bruin, Production Manager at Carrières de Coussegrey, has built his career within the quarry, progressing from installation driver to production manager.
Today, he coordinates key activities – such as material handling, customer loading operations and the management of operational areas – relying on BKT tyres to ensure stability, traction and productivity.
Chloé Paratsot works at Carrières de Coussegrey, where she is involved in the quarry’s day-to-day operations.
Working closely with machinery and production processes, she helps to ensure efficiency, safety and operational continuity, while appreciating the reliability of BKT solutions in the most demanding working conditions.
